Dr Deepak Ghimire is an experienced General Practitioner with a diverse medical background spanning hospital medicine, Aboriginal health, and defence healthcare.
Originally from Nepal, Dr Ghimire completed his MBBS and MD in Radiation Oncology before relocating to Australia in 2017. Since then, he has worked across a range of hospital settings, including Campbelltown, Camden, Maitland, Queanbeyan, and the Canberra region, gaining valuable experience in both urban and regional healthcare systems.
He spent three years serving remote communities in Far North Queensland through Aboriginal health services, where he developed a strong interest in chronic disease management and aged care. He has also worked as a GP contractor for the Australian Defence Force and has completed training in aviation medicine.
Outside of work, Dr Ghimire enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also a doctor, and their two children. As a family, they love to travel and explore new places together.
