Ochre Health is owned by doctors and with a comprehensive Clinical Governance framework in place, clinical quality and operational excellence is at the forefront of everything we do at Ochre Health.

Our flexible contracts – with no lock in periods, and attractive remuneration packages – allow Ochre Health General Practitioners to maximise their earnings whilst working in a supportive and collegiate environment.
We are looking for General Practitioners to join our expanding network of medical centres in the greater Hobart region.

Nestled in the foothills of Mt Wellington/kunanyi, on the bank of the Derwent river, Tasmania’s capital city of Hobart is a picturesque and vibrant cultural hub. With a population of just over 200,000, the city has seen a huge surge in popularity in recent years due to an influx of people looking for a place to live that supports a better lifestyle.
To the North of Hobart, the towns cluster along the banks of the Derwent as it snakes into the Derwent Valley – rolling pastures and hop fields becoming mountainous towards the old-growth forests of Mt Field and beyond. To the South, the orchards and forests of the famed Huon valley lie next to the estuaries of the Southeast Coast, catering to a thriving fishing industry. The towns of the Huon are a haven for artisans, with cottage industries and boutique small farm ventures as well as an active live music scene making for a lively cultural hub.
With its proximity to stunning mountains, rainforests and beaches, Hobart ticks all the boxes for those who enjoy the outdoors. It also provides for gourmands and culture lovers, with the world famous Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), festivals such as Dark Mofo, and the popular artisanal Salamanca Markets, to name just a few standouts from a year round cultural calendar.
