COVID-19 updates

Appointments

We are still conducting necessary face-to-face consults but are trying to limit exposure where we can.

If you feel your appointment can be done over the phone please let reception know and your Doctor will contact you at the designated appointment time.

When you arrive at the clinic you will need to present at concierge before presenting to reception. This will be located in the foyer as you come up the elevator or stairs.

Surgical masks will be required and can be provided if you do not have your own.

To help minimize the number of patients in our waiting room, we do ask that only the patient and carers/parents attend the appointment wherever possible.

Please let us know before attending the clinic if you have any of following:

  • Fever
  • Cough or sore throat
  • Fatigue or shortness of breath
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Runny nose

You are still able to have a consultation with your GP – the way that happens will just be a little different.

COVID-19 testing

We are not performing covid-19 testing at our clinic. Please visit the QLD Government website at this link to find your nearest testing site: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/stay-informed/testing-and-fever-clinics#testing-centre-map

For COVID-19 positive patients

You may learn you have COVID-19:

  • by taking a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and returning a positive result. If you haven’t done so, report your positive RAT result to Queensland Health
  • taking a PCR test, and getting a text message from Queensland Health or a pathology lab telling you that you have COVID-19

You can find out more information about what to do next here:https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/stay-informed/i-have-covid

If you are well or only have mild symptoms, you will be cared for at home. If you have not been contacted and you are concerned about your symptoms or need assistance, call 13 42 68, or, if it is an emergency, call 000.

If you have tested positive or are a close or casual contact of a COVID-19 positive patient and you would like to discuss your health with your regular GP, please book a telehealth appointment only.

For the safety of others, please DO NOT present to the practice.

We encourage you to keep checking the Queensland Health website for up to date information about Covid -19:https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/public-health-directions/confirmed-cases-and-close-contacts/close-contacts
