FAQs

Additional fee information

We are a mixed billing practice. Local community members are bulk-billed, while visitors to town are charged private fees except for children under the age of 16, pension cardholders and DVA cardholders. Please note that some services do not attract a Medicare rebate and therefore cannot be bulk-billed. Our friendly reception team or your doctor will inform you of this when you book or arrive.

Weekend and after hours services

Fees may vary for consultations occurring on weekends and outside our normal business hours. These costs will be provided by our friendly reception team.

Procedures and other services

Patients who need to visit our treatment room may be charged a fee for the services they receive in addition to their consultation fee. This fee covers the care provided by our nurses, including dressings, wound care and other procedures. You will be informed of any fee in advance.

Payments

Fees are payable at the time of your consultation.

Medicare rebate

We have systems in place to process your Medicare rebate claims on the spot – our friendly team will help you with this.

Worker compensation, insurance and occupational health

We do not bill WorkCover directly unless you have a letter accepting your claim, with a claim number and billing information. If you do not have such a letter, we will bill you as normal and you will need to seek reimbursement from your employer or WorkCover.
