Tassie trifecta of doctor awards

Current and former doctors practicing with Ochre Health scooped pool at the Rural Doctors Association of Tasmania (RDAT) Awards on Saturday night.

Professor Dennis Pashen, who retired recently after an illustrious 40 year career, most recently working as a Rural Generalist in the Ochre Queenstown practice and also as our Medical Coordinator for Tasmania, was announced as Tasmanian Rural Doctor of the Year for 2022.

Dr Ben Dodds, who is a Rural Generalist Registrar in the Scottsdale and Bridport practices as well as working in Launceston General Hospital’s ED and North Eastern Soldiers Memorial Hospital, was named Tasmanian Rural Doctor-in-Training of the Year as well as being elected as RDAT’s new President.

Dr Nick Lee, who has worked at Ochre Medical Centre Scottsdale as both a medical student and now as a Junior Doctor, won Tasmanian Rural Medical Student of the Year.

Heartiest congratulations to each of them and a shout-out to everybody across Ochre and the Tasmanian medical community who has supported them along the way.
