Dr Elisabeth (Liz) Dumitriu is a General Practitioner with a broad scope of clinical experience across rural, regional, and metropolitan hospital and community healthcare settings. Her early medical career included three years of hospital-based rotations in Far North Queensland and Victoria, followed by two years in general surgery across Central and South East Queensland.

After realising her passion lay in primary healthcare—particularly in comprehensive women’s health—she redirected her focus from surgery to general practice. She completed her final two years of GP training in mainstream general practice on the Gold Coast and in First Nations healthcare in Ipswich.

Having spent more than 30 years moving along the east coast of Australia, Dr Dumitriu is delighted to be returning to the Sunshine Coast, where she was born and spent the early part of her childhood.
