Dr Shane Carlisle

Dr Carlisle graduated with a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland in 1985 and gaining post-graduate experience in Rockhampton Base Hospital, Gladstone District Hospital and Nambour General Hospital. He received training in General Practice through the Family Medicine Program run by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Carlisle worked full-time in General Practice prior to developing a special interest in skin cancer management in 2004. Shane has worked full time in skin cancer medicine and surgery since 2011. He also holds a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery (ACSCM).

In 2019 he was invited to work as a GP with a special interest in skin cancer detection and management in the Dermatology Outpatients and Plastic Surgery RAPID clinic at Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
