Compassionate care for every stage of life

At Ochre Medical Centre Caloundra, we are proud to offer a dedicated women’s health service, providing personalised and holistic care to support women through all life stages.

Whether you’re managing your reproductive health, navigating menopause, or seeking support for complex conditions, our experienced team is here to listen, support, and guide you.

We understand that women’s health is personal. That’s why our clinicians take the time to create a safe, respectful environment where you can feel comfortable discussing your concerns and confident in your care.

Areas of Focus

Our women’s health service includes support for a wide range of issues and concerns. Click below to learn more about each area:

From irregular cycles and heavy bleeding to painful periods or missing periods, we help diagnose and manage a wide range of menstrual issues. Care is tailored to your symptoms and circumstances, with a focus on minimising disruption to your daily life.

For women living with PCOS or endometriosis, we offer long-term support with diagnosis, treatment options, and symptom management. We also work closely with specialists when additional care is required, helping you manage your condition with confidence.

Our team offers comprehensive contraceptive advice to help you find the method that best suits your lifestyle and health needs. This includes oral contraceptives, long-acting reversible contraception (such as Implanon and IUDs), and contraceptive counselling.

Regular cervical screening plays a key role in the early detection and prevention of cervical cancer. We offer both clinician-collected and self-collected (self-screening) cervical screening options, depending on your eligibility and comfort. Our goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

If you’re thinking about starting or expanding your family, we can support you with pre-conception health checks, fertility guidance, and personalised advice to optimise your chances of a healthy pregnancy.

We provide shared antenatal care in collaboration with local hospitals and maternity services. From your first appointment through to birth planning, our team offers continuity, reassurance, and clinical expertise throughout your pregnancy.

We provide gentle, thorough care in the weeks and months following childbirth. This includes routine postnatal checks for new mothers and baby checks, ensuring that both you and your baby are supported during this important transition.

We offer care and guidance through perimenopause and menopause, including support with symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep disturbances, and mood changes. Hormone therapy and non-hormonal options are discussed in detail to help you make informed decisions.

If you’re experiencing symptoms of iron deficiency, we can investigate and manage the underlying cause. Where appropriate, iron infusions are available as part of your treatment plan to help restore energy and support overall wellbeing.

We offer clinical breast examinations and can assist with referrals for screening or further investigations where needed. Risk assessments and personalised advice are also available for women with a family history of breast or gynaecological cancers.

Confidential and respectful care is central to our sexual health services. We provide STI screening and treatment, advice on safe sexual practices, and support with any sexual health concerns you may have.

We take a holistic view of women’s mental health and understand how it can be influenced by hormonal changes, life transitions, or personal circumstances. Our team provides compassionate support and can help with management plans, mental health care plans, and referrals to specialised services.
