Vasectomies
Vasectomies
A vasectomy is a surgical procedure that sterilises a man, providing a highly effective form of contraception. It prevents him fathering children but won’t stop the production of semen. Modern techniques allow this procedure to be done in the GP’s rooms without a general anaesthetic. Excellent numbing technology with local anaesthetic makes it a relatively painless procedure. A vasectomy can sometimes be reversed, but it is generally permanent.
