Dr Lakshika Wijemanna

Dr Lakshika Wijemanna graduated in 2008 from the faculty of Medicine at the University Of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, before going on to complete her internship in Sri Lanka. She worked as a hospital medical officer in Sri Lanka in many healthcare areas, including General Medicine, Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Rural medicine.

In 2013 she began her journey as a general practitioner in Canberra and gained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019.  continues to keep up to date in her clinical training, including completing a child health programme at the University of Sydney, a professional certificate in skin cancer surgery and a professional certificate in clinical procedures.

In her spare time, Dr Wijemanna enjoys painting and spending time with her two young children. She speaks English and Sinhalese.
