Dr Metcalf graduated from Medicine at Melbourne University in 1984. He is a foundation Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, and has spent many years working in rural communities around Australia.
Dr Metcalf has lived in the Canberra region for the last 28 years. From 2016 to 2021 he was a GP in Bombala, on the southern Monaro. He began practicing with Ochre in December 2021, after moving to the nation’s ‘bush capital’.
