With over 11 years of experience, Dr Saara Shafee believes that great healthcare is a lot like cooking – it takes the right ingredients, careful attention, and a pinch of patience. She is passionate about guiding patients through every stage of life, combining clinical expertise with practical, personalised advice so patients feel supported and confident in their care.

Her dedication to excellence was recognised when she achieved the highest MRCGP OSCE score across South Asia in 2023, proving she can handle tricky cases just as well as she handles tricky recipes. She values the continuity of care that general practice offers – the chance to build lasting relationships and tailor care to each patient’s unique needs.

Originally from Sri Lanka, Saara now calls Australia home. Having practised in nearby Bendigo at Kangaroo Flat Medical Centre, she understands the health needs of families in the region. Outside the clinic, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with her family – often all at once.
