Dr Gemma Halliday

BMedSci, MBBS, FRACGP

Gemma loves working in General Practice as it allows her to approach each patient in a holistic manner across the full range of life stages.

She has a special interest in sexual health and women’s health including menopause and provides medical termination of pregnancy.

Gemma completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2008 before moving to Newcastle in 2011 to complete her GP training.

As well as working at the practice, Gemma also works part-time at Brightwell Health, providing comprehensive care to patients requiring sexual and reproductive health services.

Gemma also works as a Forensic Medical Examiner for the Newcastle Sexual Assault Service.

When not at work, Gemma loves spending time with her husband and two children and enjoys travelling, cooking and walking her giant dog Malo.
