Late or can’t make it?

Appointment Reminders & Patient Responsibility

Appointment reminder messages are provided as a complimentary courtesy to assist patients in remembering their scheduled appointments. However, receiving a reminder is not a requirement for an appointment to remain valid.

Patients are responsible for keeping a record of their appointment date and time and ensuring they attend their scheduled appointment or provide the required notice if they need to cancel or reschedule.

While we make every effort to ensure reminder messages are sent successfully, technical issues, system errors,  or other unforeseen circumstances may occasionally prevent a reminder from being received.

Failure to receive an appointment reminder does not cancel or change the scheduled appointment. If a patient does not attend their appointment and has not provided the required notice, the applicable Did Not Attend (DNA) fee will still apply, regardless of whether a reminder message was received.

We encourage all patients to keep their appointment details recorded and to contact the practice if they are unsure of their upcoming appointment.
