Doctors practicing at Ochre are independent practitioners and they bill privately. This means patients will be charged a fee that is higher than the Medicare rebate for their consultation, in other words the Medicare rebate patients receive after paying their bill will only cover part of the total cost. These billing arrangements apply to both face-to-face and telehealth (video and phone) consultations. DVA patients, health assessments and chronic disease plans are all bulk-billed. Local residents who reside in the 7215/7216 postcode are eligible for discounted rates if they fall into one of the following categories: are under 18 years old, pension cardholders, health care cardholders or students with valid identification. Initial appointments for New Patients are charged at the full rate for all patients. The doctors who practice with us may also bulk-bill in other circumstances at their discretion.
