Dr Gwynne Hannay graduated from the The University of Queensland in 2012 before completing his internship and junior medical training at Toowoomba Hospital. He subsequently worked as a Principal House Officer in the Emergency Department at Warwick Hospital, gaining valuable experience in rural and emergency medicine.
In 2016, Dr Hannay commenced general practice with Ochre Health, working across Oakey and Wyalla. During his time in Oakey, he also provided part-time hospital services, delivering on-call emergency and inpatient care in addition to his general practice commitments.
Dr Hannay enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has a particular interest in skin cancer detection and treatment, having undertaken additional training in this field. He is passionate about preventive medicine and empowering patients to take an active role in their health through education, guidance, and evidence-based care.
Outside of medicine, Dr Hannay enjoys spending time outdoors and is an enthusiastic runner and cyclist.
