Dr Joanna Howe
MBBS (Hons), DCH, FRACGP, Certificate of Sexual & Reproductive Health
Dr Joanna Howe lives and works most of the year in Tasmania. She enjoys regular sojourns back to WA where she grew up, as well as exploring more of Australia through regular rural and remote placements.
Jo graduated from UWA in 2007 and completed her initial years of hospital training in Hobart. She broadened her experience with further rotations in the Royal Darwin hospital (NT) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (WA) and has enjoyed a variety of rural and urban GP placements since she completed her training in 2014.
Jo enjoys the variety of work and the broad demographics of General Practice. She has sub-specialised in sexual and reproductive health and has worked casually at Family Planning Tasmania since 2016. She is passionate about providing quality, thorough, accessible health-care to diverse communities and maintaining her ongoing education and skills.
Outside of work she enjoys spending her time with friends and family, and/or immersing herself in nature, music, a good book or sci-fi series.
