Dr Peranevi Thayaparan completed her medical degree (MBBS Hons) at Monash University in Melbourne. She then worked across the Eastern Health network of hospitals in Melbourne obtaining experience in a variety of fields including paediatrics, general medicine, emergency medicine and upper GI surgery.
Her interest in rural medicine led to doing a rural rotation in Bairnsdale to further her medical skills and add to her body of rural experience from medical school where she did placements across Central Victoria. She then completed further training in General Practice in Canberra and obtained her fellowship in 2022.
Her areas of interest include Women’s health, antenatal care and sexual health.
When away from work, she likes to spend time with family and friends and enjoys baking…and then eating said baked goods.
