Dr Katherine McQueen

Dr McQueen completed her medical degree at The University of Auckland in New Zealand in 1998. She then completed an intern year and resident year at Tauranga Hospital before moving back to Auckland to do two further resident years focusing on the medical areas of cardiology, older person’s health, endocrinology, and oncology.
In 2003, she embarked on her GP fellowship training which saw her working in various practices in and around Auckland.
In 2010, Dr McQueen relocated to Australia where she spent two years working in Brisbane before permanently settling on the Sunshine Coast in 2012. She has spent the last eight years working at her current practice in Caloundra, which became part of Ochre Health in 2015.
Dr McQueen enjoys all areas of general practice, but has particular interests in cardiovascular disease management and prevention, and older person’s health. She likes spending her spare time with family enjoying everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
