Dr Thayaparan is a fellow of Royal Australian college of general practitioners (FRACGP).

She started her GP training in Bathurst and Lithgow, then moved to Canberra and has worked in Gungahlin since 2010.

In addition to her general practice qualification, she holds a Diploma in Child Health from University of Sydney. Dr Thayaparan cares for patients with a holistic approach. She has excellent problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with patients.

She has a particular interest in metabolic conditions like diabetes and obesity, and women’s health such as antenatal care and preconception advice. She can also provide excellent contraceptive advice, and provide menopausal management. She is also interested in managing mental health including preparing mental health care plans.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, travelling, listening to music and watching movies.
