Dr Ingrid Smethurst grew up and studied in Hobart and trained at the Rural Clinical School in Burnie, completing elective placements in the remote communities of Yirrkala, NT and Leonora, WA. She has been practicing as a GP in the Huon Valley since 2015. She enjoys the breadth and depth of general practice, and has further training in women’s health, children’s health, mental health and family planning.
