Dr Sammani Prarthana Hewagama

MBBS, MRCGP

Dr Sammani Prarthana Hewagama is a General Practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings in Sri Lanka. She holds an MBBS from the University of Colombo and an MRCGP (International) from the Royal College of General Practitioners, and has also successfully completed the AMC Part 1, MCCQE1, and NAC OSCE examinations.

Dr Hewagama has broad clinical expertise spanning general practice, chronic disease management, women’s health, haematology, and urgent care. Her career has included roles at Lanka Hospitals Colombo, the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka, the National HIV/STD AIDS Control Programme, and the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, giving her extensive experience managing complex and diverse patient presentations across all age groups.

She is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that integrates both physical and mental health, and has a strong interest in health education, preventive care, and community health promotion.
