Dr Hart graduated from Flinders University in South Australia and has been practising as a General Practitioner in Australia for over 30 years. A dedicated family GP, he provides compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with complex and chronic conditions.

He has additional training and a special interest in peri-menopause and menopause, metabolic health, memory, mood and fatigue disorders, and persistent pain.

Dr Hart uses a biopsychosocial approach to understand and treat the underlying biological, psychological, and social factors affecting health. He works closely with his patients, combining evidence-based pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatments with a holistic focus on the foundations of health and wellbeing.

Billing and prescriptions
Dr John Hart operates under an individual billing policy, with consultation fees differing from the practice’s standard fee schedule. A $60 out-of-pocket gap applies to Level B consultations, and a $120 out-of-pocket gap applies to Level C consultations.

These gaps apply to all privately billed patients, including pensioners and concession card holders. Bulk billing is available for selected services.

Dr Hart does not prescribe opioids, benzodiazepines, or medicinal cannabis. Patients seeking prescriptions for these medications should be aware of this before booking.
