After a 20 year career as an accountant, Edwina Mountain embarked on a career change and started medical school at the University of Tasmania in 2009. She graduated in 2013 and spent the next 2 years at the Royal Hobart Hospital doing her intern and resident years. She then started her career in General Practice and Fellowed in 2021.
While all areas of General Practice appeal to her, her passion is for women’s health. She is also trained in insertion of IUDs and Implanons, cervical screening, immunisations, iron infusions and minor skin procedures.
She has 3 grown up children, a retired husband, 2 border collies and 2 ragdoll cats.
