Dr Kate Bendall
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Bendall is a Tasmanian, who studied at the University of Tasmania in Hobart and Launceston Clinical Schools. She graduated in 2010 and after working at the Royal Hobart Hospital, she become a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015.
She is passionate about General Practice and advocating for the role of primary care. She is an active member of the Australian Medical Association and Doctors for the Environment Australia. She is also a founding member of the locally formed Climate Resilience Network along with Dr Anna Seth and Dr Clare Smith – combining each of their passions for Mental Health and the need to tackle the enormous health challenges of climate change.
She enjoys all areas of General Practice, including Family Care, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Mental Health, and Refugee Care. She enjoys hearing people’s stories, and supporting them to develop and maintain meaningful lives. She loves to get people moving, connected, and outside.
Outside of work, Dr Bendall enjoys time in nature, board games, audiobooks, gardening, making things and spending time with her husband and 2 kids.
