Dr Jan Kokavec

Dr Jan Kokavec is a rural generalist registrar with ACRRM (Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine). He completed his medical degree at University of Sydney in 2011 and earned a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmic Science) in 2013. He has more than 15 years of experience as a clinician across metropolitan, regional and remote health services.

Before entering rural general practice, he worked in ophthalmology in NSW, SA and Far North Queensland. His ophthalmology experience will allow him to assess and manage many eye problems locally in St Helens.

Outside work, he enjoys chess, skateboarding, coding and nature photography. He is learning to fish and to speak Spanish. He and his wife rode a motorbike from London to Nepal.
