Dr Michael Charles

Dr Charles worked as a GP in the Sydney and Wollongong regions for about 15 years. During that time he was involved with GP Registrar education, and served as an examiner for the College of General Practitioners.

Since then he has been working in special interest areas, including skin cancer, occupational health and assisting with orthopaedic and robotic surgery in local hospitals.

Dr Charles initially gained experience in the treatment of skin cancer within a general practice setting. Later he worked in a dedicated skin cancer practice and spent ten years in a specialist dermatology practice in Wollongong, working alongside a senior teaching dermatologist and skin surgeon. During that time, he completed certificate courses in both skin cancer management and general dermatology, through the Australian College of Dermatologists. He is an article reviewer for the Australian Journal of General Practice for skin cancer related topics.

Dr Charles began practicing at Ochre Health in 2021 as a skin cancer doctor.
