Michael Prowacki
Michael Prowacki is a registered Clinical Psychologist based in Toowoomba. He provides evidence-based assessment and therapy for school-aged children, adolescents, and adults. His treatment approach includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Michael is trained in animal assisted therapy with his dog Teddy, a Cavoodle.
He works with anxiety, mood, trauma, and adjustment concerns, as well as complex and co-occurring presentations. He also provides intervention for conditions including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), eating disorders, Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders, psychotic illnesses, grief and loss, health-related stress, and addiction, including substance use, problematic gambling, gaming, and other compulsive behaviours.
Michael accepts referrals and funding via Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), WorkCover Queensland, and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), as well as privately.
