Since moving to Australia, Dr Abeyweera worked at Campbelltown Hospital as a registrar and gained her Australian Medical Certificate in 2014.
She began practicing with Ochre Medical Centre Boggabri in 2020.
In her spare time, Dr Abeyweera enjoys contributing to charity work and listening to music.
