Dr Wee-Sian Woon

MBBS, FRACGP, DCH

Dr Woon is a GP with Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and holds a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney.

Dr Woon was raised in Canberra where he attended the local public schools. He then went on to pursue his medical studies in Queensland and graduated with an MBBS degree in 2012. He undertook his hospital training at Canberra Hospital and Goulburn Base Hospital and has worked as a GP in Cooma and Perth as well as Aboriginal Medical Services in Taree, Darwin and Alice Springs.

Dr Woon enjoys the diversity of general practice and is happy to see all patients and presentations. For the last four years, Dr. Woon has been based in Sydney, where he acquired additional expertise in Sexual Health and LGBT Health while also working as a GP.

Outside of medical practice, he enjoys trail-running, piano-playing, and ocean-swimming and is currently training up for a 100km ultra-trail run. He is also involved in representative positions for the World Organisation of Family Doctors, as well as being an Examiner for the RACGP and medical students, and a Clinical Editor for the development of General Practice Guidelines.

He looks forward to being back home and actively contributing to improving the healthcare of the Canberra community.
