A Casey local, Dr Goyal commenced his internship at The Canberra Hospital (TCH) in 2011. He progressed to the level of senior resident medical officer/junior medical registrar before beginning his GP training in 2015.
Dr Goyal is a certified Dermoscopist, skilled in conducting comprehensive skin examinations using a specialized instrument known as a dermatoscope. Dermoscopy, also referred to as dermatoscopy, utilizes a dermoscope to examine the skin, nails, and hair under magnification. It is an indispensable tool for dermatologists and general practitioners in the early detection of skin cancer, including Melanoma, BCC, and SCC. By analyzing moles using dermoscopy, abnormal structural features of melanoma can be detected, borderline lesions can be closely observed, and benign lesions can be confidently diagnosed without the need for biopsy. Dermoscopy is also becoming increasingly useful in the diagnosis of non-pigmented skin lesions and inflammatory dermatoses such as psoriasis, dermatitis, and scabies. Dr. Goyal has completed several certificate courses in dermoscopy to enhance his expertise in this area.
Dr Goyal enjoys travelling and watching suspense and thriller movies.
