Dr Tugwell began practicing with Ochre in 1997, having moved from East Arnhem Land, NT, via Inverell.
His work has developed since then, pursuing an interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He continues to enjoy all aspects of general practice and works at the Cooma Hospital in emergency and anaesthetics. He is the practice GP registrar supervisor and has enjoyed this role over the last ten years, trying to sell the Rural Medicine life to GPs in training.
Away from work, Dr Tugwell breeds Dorper sheep, enjoys family bushwalks and has completed his first (and possibly last) half marathon. He is also a committed lap swimmer at the Cooma Pool.
