Dr Alison O’Connor
MBChB, MRCGP (UK), DGPPC, FRACGP
Dr O’Connor completed her medical degree at the University of Liverpool (UK) in 1990 and her intern year in Liverpool. She embarked on her GP Fellowship training in 1994, working in inner-city London.
Dr O’Connor joined Ochre Medical Centre in Sippy on its opening day in 2014 and is responsible for leading the clinical team and establishing the medical centre as Sippy Down’s practice of choice.
She is a highly respected supervisor and mentor and is actively involved in GP registrar training and assessment via her involvement with RACGP. Dr O’Connor also teaches and mentors medical students through the Graduate School of Medicine program at Griffith University.
Dr O’Connor has published papers in primary care. This has developed her strong interest in improving the quality of care to patients, which drives her passion for teaching.
A mother of two, she enjoys running and training her dog in her spare time.
