Dr Aruna Suraweera Arachchige
MBBS, EMC, MRCEM, MD (Emergency Medicine)
Dr Suraweera holds a medical degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and a Doctor of Emergency Medicine from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Moving to Australia in August 2018, he worked in University Hospital Geelong for one and half years as an emergency medicine registrar in order to complete his postgraduate training. During this time, he completed an emergency medicine certificate (ACEM) and the Australian Medical Council (AMC) clinical examination in September 2019.
In his 10 years working in hospitals throughout Sri Lanka, he had various roles from medical officer of anesthesia and intensive care to consultant emergency physician.
Dr Suraweera went back to Sri Lanka in 2020 to complete his post graduate training in emergency medicine and moved back to Australia in April 2021 to join Ochre Medical Centre Scottsdale.
Dr Suraweera enjoys watching movies and spending time with his three kids in his spare time.
