Dr Brooke Quigley

Brooke graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2006. She completed postgraduate training in the Illawarra, with a special interest in critical care, before commencing General Practice training in 2011. In 2012, she was awarded the Tony Buhagiar Memorial Medal for the highest marks in New South Wales for the National Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Fellowship exams. She became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2014.

Brooke is a Medical Educator for GP Registrars with the RACGP. She is a Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Wollongong (UOW) Graduate School of Medicine (GSM) and is involved in teaching medical students from UOW. She is an examiner for the RACGP, in both written and clinical exams. She has recently worked for the RACGP to write and administer the Key Feature Problem (KFP) written fellowship examination. She has obtained additional, internationally-recognised, qualifications in Medical Education.

Brooke is passionate about helping you live as your authentic self – however that may look. ​She provides holistic, non-judgemental, and evidence-based health care, embracing people of all genders, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. She provides gender affirming care for people of all ages and identities – including supporting social and legal affirmation, prescribing hormone therapy (including oestrogen implants), and referring to surgical colleagues if desired. Brooke also prescribes HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).

Brooke lives locally in Wollongong with her husband, two primary-school-aged children, and very cheeky Groodle, Winston. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys reading, cooking, watching renovation shows, travelling, and trying out all of the amazing restaurants that the Illawarra has to offer.
