Dr Kerrie Aust
Dr Kerrie Aust
MBBS, FRACGP, DCH
Dr Kerrie Aust completed her speciality training in General Practice in 2019. Prior to joining General Practice she worked at the Canberra Hospital Health Service in paediatrics, sexual health, gastroenterology, addiction medicine, emergency medicine and ENT.
Kerrie’s favourite part of medicine is looking after an entire family. She has an interest in preventative health and helping everyone to achieve their best possible health outcomes. She works in women’s health, men’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics, weight management and mental health. She also does skin checks and simple excisions, Implanon and IUD insertions as well as medical termination of pregnancy. She is a registered S100 prescriber for HIV management with ASHM.
Kerrie has capacity to provide cognitive based therapy (CBT) under the Focussed Psychological Strategies program for eligible patients with a Mental Health Care Plan from their regular GP. My areas of interest are mild to moderate depression, anxiety and phobias.
Kerrie likes to stay active with running and is a regular at Parkrun with her friends and her trusted dog. For downtime she enjoys a good book, trying to master the art of sour dough and catching up with her family.
