Dr Lakshmi Sunderasan
Dr Lakshmi Sunderasan
BSc (Hons), MD
Lakshmi is a Rural Generalist registrar with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. She undertook both her undergraduate degree in science (majoring in biology) and then her postgraduate degree in medicine at the University of Sydney, followed by a number of years training in hospitals across NSW with a focus on critical care medicine. She has now made the jump over the ditch (and is very excited about this) to diversify her career and is undertaking core generalist training in St Helens.
Lakshmi is passionate about wilderness and travel medicine, adolescent health, and critical care medicine. In her spare time you will probably find her out exploring and enjoying all the Tasmanian wilderness has to offer, baking, hanging with her gorgeous calico cat India, or racing around the country competing in bridge tournaments!
