Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy

Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy is very proud to be a practicing at Ochre Medical Centre Grant Street. She is from South India, where she completed her basic medical degree and a post graduate degree in anaesthesia before moving to Australia in 2001.

She has lived and worked in different places in Australia like Alice Springs, Perth and Launceston before moving to Northern Rivers in 2005 to start her General Practice training in rural Australia. Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy trained locally in Northern rivers and obtained her fellowship in General practice in 2007. Her special interests are in women’s health, shared antenatal care and paediatrics . She also inserts and removes Implanon’s. She offers medical termination of pregnancy for women in need. She also visits the local nursing homes and continue caring for her patients after they move into the residential aged care facilities.

During her training and subsequently, Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy developed a keen interest in medical education, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Anti-natal Care.

Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy is a Senior Local Medical Educator for RACGP and she is currently the deputy head of training for the North Coast region. She is also a Supervisor at the Practice who also teaches registrars.
