Dr Tom Pyke
Dr Tom Pyke
Tom studied medicine at Flinders University in South Australia and spent two years in the remote parts of the Northern Territory completing his studies within a rural and remote context. Since graduating in 2019 Tom has worked in metropolitan hospitals in south-east Queensland, working in departments such as OB/GYN, paediatrics, and emergency medicine.
Tom has always had a desire to be a rural doctor and is currently a registrar training within the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. He has moved with his family to King Island to continue his training and provide healthcare in the remote setting.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys the outdoors – surfing, fishing, diving and all things sports related. Tom believes, however, that his enthusiasm far outweighs his abilities in these pursuits. Most importantly Tom is a husband and father to 2 small children.
