The opportunity

Medical Centre:

  • Solo Doctor practice and town
  • Provide primary healthcare services to 650 residents
  • General Practice sees between 25 to 30 patients per day
  • Clinic hours 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
  • Practice is conveniently co-located within the hospital

Hospital:

  • 1:1 hospital model
  • Provide 3 on-call shifts per week (10hr on-call shift, 8am to 6pm) – pick your on-call days with no weekend on-call required
  • Hospital presentations average between 5 to 10 per week
  • The hospital is equipped with 3 beds, 3 acute beds, 10 residential aged care beds, community health, ambulatory care and renal dialysis.
  • Community health services include women’s health nurse, palliative care, mental health drug and alcohol care.
  • Services within WNSW LDH include Dental, Podiatrist, Optometrist, Maternal & Infant care, Immunisation services, Radiology, Mental Health, Physiotherapy, Diabetic and Dietician services

The features

  • $25,000 incentive payment paid on commencement
  • 65% of billings at the general practice and 75% for after hours, residential aged care and home visits
  • $800 daily rate for on-call shift at the hospital
  • Choose your on-call days and no weekend work required
  • Fully furnished accommodation (utilities covered) and vehicle (with fuel card and service covered) are provided
  • Access to MM6 & DPA rural retention and relocation grants
  • Open to FIFO arrangement (i.e. 2 weeks on/1 week off or 3 weeks on/1 week off)

Suitability

  • Holds General Registration or Vocational Registration (FRACGP/FACRRM) with AHPRA
  • ALS2, REST or equivalent certificate
  • Recent Emergency experience within the last 12 months
