Coonamble – GP VMO
- Join us in creating healthier communities
- Sign on bonus, vehicle, accommodation and lucrative grants provided
- $500-600K package
We are looking for GP VMOs who share our purpose and values to join our network in Coonamble.
In addition to the General Practice, this role will also include coverage of the NSW Health Multi Purpose Service including on-call responsibilities for ED, inpatients and aged care as a Visiting Medical Officer. Telehealth support exists within the service for CAT 3-5 presentations occurring out of hours. A very attractive daily rate for Hospital work is incorporated into the overall package.
Making a difference is at the heart of what we do. We believe we make a bigger and better difference together. Our powerful GP eco-system is transforming healthcare throughout rural and regional Australia with:
- Offering a GP network to transform community care through our shared resources, tool, systems, knowledge, and people
- Collaboration and connections for you to promote preventative care and curate future health outcomes for greater good and innovation.
- Shape your medical career around your individual lifestyle, clinical approach, and location preferences
Your personal difference
Certainly, you will have General Registration or Vocational Registration with AHPRA. But we are looking beyond the basics for a GP VMO who lives and breathes our purpose and values. 7-minute medicine is not part of your vocabulary.
Rather, you take a determined all-bases-covered approach to solving medical problems and keep the patient at the heart of everything you do. Your thirst for innovation and upskilling is matched by a passion for sharing your own unique ideas, experience, and expertise.
Location settings to live life your way
Coonamble is quiet rural town with a population of around 3,000 and the gateway to the Macquarie Marshes. The Marshes support a wide variety of rare colonial waterbirds and the lush green of the wider district holds a thriving livestock industry.
The town has a charming main street with huge old pubs, interesting murals, amusing nickname caricatures and a number of Art Deco buildings, a result of a major fire in the town in 1929. It is located 536 km north-west of Sydney via Mudgee.
