About the role
This is fast-paced urgent care with genuine clinical variety. You will manage minor trauma and stable fractures, acute musculoskeletal injuries, laceration repair and complex wound management, abscess drainage and minor procedures, acute infections and exacerbations, stabilisation of urgent presentations within scope, and walk-in patients requiring same-day care. Flexible shifts are available across weekdays, evenings and weekends in a structured, well-supported urgent care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage minor trauma and stable fractures
- Manage acute musculoskeletal injuries
- Perform laceration repair and complex wound management
- Perform abscess drainage and minor procedures
- Manage acute infections and exacerbations
- Stabilise urgent presentations within scope
- Provide care to walk-in patients requiring same-day care
About you
- Experienced GP with acute care and procedural medicine experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- ALS
- Confident managing urgent and acute presentations
- Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills

Ochre Health’s Urgent Care Centre in Sippy Downs is expanding to deliver accessible, timely care that keeps patients out of Emergency Departments, while supporting the growing Sunshine Coast community. The centre offers a supportive nursing and admin team, modern well-equipped urgent care facility, and a collaborative, team-based environment with no inpatient or on-call responsibilities.
