Life on King Island

The island’s unique lifestyle and natural beauty make it a popular destination for tourists, but it remains relatively untouched by mass tourism. Residents can enjoy a peaceful and tranquil environment, free from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Despite its remote location, King Island is self-sufficient in many ways, with a thriving local food and farming industry. Locals can enjoy fresh, locally sourced produce, including seafood, beef, and dairy products. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as fishing, surfing, and hiking.

The island is known for its stunning natural beauty, pristine beaches, and rugged coastline. It is also home to two world-class golf courses, Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes, which attract golf enthusiasts from around the world.
