The opportunity

We are looking for a GP VMO to join our iconic practice located in Lightning Ridge, NSW. This is a great opportunity to work rurally while also earning from two income streams (general practice & VMO services).

Our facility is well-equipped and has four consulting rooms, treatment/procedure room and on-site pathology. Our practice is open from 8:30am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.

At Lightning Ridge a GP also participates on the VMO roster at the local MPS Hospital. The local Hospital has 4 Emergency beds, 4 acute beds, 1 respite/palliative care bed and 19 residential aged care beds.

The features

  • $25,000 incentive payment paid on first pay cycle
  • $2,000 daily rate for each on-call shift
  • 65% of billings at the practice and 75% for after hours, residential aged care and home visits
  • Accommodation (full furnished and utilities covered) and vehicle (fuel card & maintenance covered) provided for this location
  • Reduction in moratorium as it a MM6 and DPA location
  • Fantastic Medical Educator that can provide supervision for GP Training Pathways for ACRRM & RACGP
  • Excellent nursing support onsite for chronic disease management
  • Full clinical autonomy with a flexibility to choose your hours and days

Suitability

  • Holds AHPRA General Registration or Vocational Registration (FRACGP/FACRRM)
