Skin cancer is serious - don’t let sun damage cast a shadow on making happy memories!
Has red, raw, blistered or peeling skin caused you to regret a nice day out in the summer sun? Maybe after spending time...
We were proud to host Federal Health Minister, The Hon Mark Butler, and Member for Lyons, Brian Mitchell MP, this morning at the Ochre Medicare Urgent Care Clinic which we operate in Hobart. They are pictured on the right of the top image in conversation with Ochre Regional Medical Director for Tasmania, Dr Alex Seidel (centre left) and Ochre Regional Manager for Tasmania, Darren Fraser (left). The Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) is co-located with our Ochre Medical Centre in a Health Hub facility on Liverpool Street in the Hobart CBD and it formed the backdrop for the Minister making a post-budget Strengthening Medicare announcement of funding for a new UCC in Bridgewater. The Bridgewater UCC will be the fifth in Tasmania and it’s main aim will be to further reduce pressure on the Royal Hobart Hospital. In his speech, Minister Butler noted there have been more than 25,000 visits to the four existing Tasmanian clinics to date, including the Ochre facility on Liverpool Street, with a quarter taking place over the weekend, and one in four being children under 15 years old.
