Dr Indi Gonzalez

Doctor in Medicine ( eq MBBS)

Indi completed her medical degree in 2004 at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic (Caribbean). After graduating, she worked in rural medicine and general practice for several years. With a strong interest in paediatrics, she began working in general practice paediatrics with the Marcelino Vélez Hospital paediatric team in 2017, also in the Dominican Republic.

Indi began working at South West Healthcare in Warrnambool at the end of 2020, gaining experience in women’s and child health, oncology, mental health, and the emergency department. She also spent time working in the urgent care centres in Portland and Camperdown.

In 2024, she worked as a Paediatric Registrar at South West Healthcare, and in 2025 as an Emergency Department Registrar before joining Ochre. In addition to English, Indi speaks fluent Spanish and basic Italian and Portuguese.

In 2016, while on holiday in Warrnambool, she felt it was the perfect place to call home. After returning from the Dominican Republic, she moved to Warrnambool and has now settled there with her young family.
