Dr Cameron McPherson

MBBS (hons), FRACGP, FACRRM, FARGP

Cameron began his healthcare career as a registered nurse before pursuing medicine at the University of Melbourne, graduating with honours. He has since built a career in rural healthcare, starting at Ballarat Health Services and later moving to Port Fairy. He holds dual Fellowships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
With a special interest in chronic disease management, Cameron focuses on using nutrition and lifestyle—particularly low-carbohydrate interventions—to treat conditions such as type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. His patient-centred approach empowers individuals to improve their health through sustainable lifestyle changes.

Currently, Cameron is furthering his expertise by studying for Fellowship with the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), aiming to integrate conventional and nutritional medicine for more holistic care.
