Dr Chithra Vivekananda grew up in Malaysia and completed her medical degree there in 2015. She practised medicine in Malaysia for four years before relocating to Australia.

Since 2019, Dr Vivekananda has worked across a range of rural and metropolitan hospitals in Queensland, including Mount Isa, Bundaberg, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Logan Hospital. In 2025, she moved to Toowoomba to commence GP training.

She enjoys all areas of general practice and is committed to providing comprehensive, patient centred care with a strong focus on continuity of care. Dr Vivekananda also has a keen interest in research and teaching, which she plans to pursue alongside her clinical work from 2026.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring new cuisines and spending time outdoors with her family.
