Dr Tim Jones
MD, BHSc
Dr Tim Jones is a GP Registrar and Intensive Care Doctor based on the Sunshine Coast. He has extensive experience in emergency medical services, having previously worked as a flight paramedic on helicopters in Broome and Darwin.
With approximately 18 years of experience with the Queensland Ambulance Service, Tim has also held roles in health and safety within the resources sector, tertiary education, ALS training, sports medicine, and expedition medicine.
Tim completed his Doctor of Medicine in 2021 and has since worked at Caboolture Hospital and the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. He holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) from Queensland University of Technology (2009), as well as qualifications in Aeromedical Retrieval and Intensive Care Paramedicine from James Cook University and Charles Sturt University, respectively. He has also earned diplomas in Occupational Health and Safety, Training and Assessment, Training Design, and Project Management.
Additionally, Tim has published numerous papers in critical care and contributed to several quality improvement projects at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
