Dr Brooke Leshin

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Brooke Leshin is the Medical Coordinator at Ochre Health Bourke and a Specialist General Practitioner with extensive experience working across rural, regional and remote Australia. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including general practice clinics, rural hospitals, outreach services, and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs).

Her practice includes a broad range of general practice services with particular expertise in skin cancer care, women’s health, procedural medicine and chronic disease management. Dr Leshin is passionate about providing practical, patient-centred care that supports long-term health and wellbeing.

Professional Roles and Training
Dr Leshin is currently completing a Fellowship with the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM).
She is actively involved in medical leadership, registrar supervision and teaching, and is an Associate Lecturer with The University of Queensland, supporting the education and training of future doctors.

Dr Leshin is also undertaking higher studies in medical administration and leadership through the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) and postgraduate study in legal and forensic medicine with the Australasian College of Legal Medicine (ACLM).

Outside of Work
Outside of medicine, Brooke enjoys spending time outdoors with her family — camping, fishing, kayaking and exploring regional Australia.
